Although from Dallas, TX, I have spent intimate time in Atlanta , Keur Momar Sarr (Senegal), La Esmeralda (Dominican Republic), Settlement (Jamaica), Bed Stuy (Brooklyn, NY), and East Baltimore. I have presented at institutions including Made in NY Media Center by IFP, Spelman College Museum of Fine Art, Institute of Contemporary Art | Boston, Gallery CA (Baltimore), Caribbean Cultural Center African Diaspora Institute, and with the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra.

I have created, developed, or facilitated intergenerational and youth programs at institutions/organizations including the Dallas Museum of Art, Open Works Baltimore, the Brooklyn Public Library, Lil Raggamuffin Summer Camp, ArtStart Youth Offenders Outreach Program, ICA Boston, and Expanding the Walls/Youth Programs at The Studio Museum in Harlem.

Collaboration is valuable part of my community practice. In 2017/18, three other Baltimore-based community leaders and I formed the BMI Collective. In bi-monthly programming, we used selected narratives, documentaries, and videos as an artistic paradigm to encourage, celebrate, and affirm Black men and our families across generations. The BMI’s series of presentations was supported by the Campaign for Black Male Achievement and the Black Mental Health Alliance.

I am a former American Express Leadership Fellow, a Jacob and Hilda Blaustein Community Arts Fellow, and an Innovative Cultural Advocacy Fellow. I earned a B.A. from Morehouse College and a M.F.A. at Maryland Institute College of Art.
